Tony Clarkson

An experienced Business Leader, Chairman and Non-Executive Director. He has successfully led businesses in Building Products, Automotive Components and Oil and Petrochemical related Industries targeting a global marketplace. He has managed business operations in Europe, North America, The Middle East and China.

As incumbent CEO, he negotiated the successful buyout of £60m t/o Pegler Ltd from Tomkins plc using an asset-based finance package & selling it on to Aalberts Industries of The Netherlands within 2 years for a >3x money multiple.

After leaving Aalberts he initially worked in Private Equity for ECI partners as Chairman in two of their largest acquisitions.

He subsequently worked with LDC on the Board of MiniCamLtd – A £14m leading manufacturer of push camera and crawler systems for pipeline inspections worldwide - exiting to Halma plc and generating a 3.3x money multiple and IRR of 70%.

He went on to help secure the extremely successful sale of Doby Verrolec Ltd a Chiltern Capital backed business and market leading manufacturer of ductwork jointing systems where he acted as Chairman for 2 years and in each of which the business delivered record results in profitability, exiting to Bencis Capital Partners BV and generating a >4x money multiple.

He has also worked with: YFM when he stepped in as Chairman of TEV Ltd - manufacturers and distributors of air conditioning and refrigeration systems to the UK and International markets.

More recently he has worked with BGF as Chairman of BrisantSecure Ltd a c.£20m t/o business supplying market leading quality locks and door furniture to the UK Fenestration Industryand which posted record results in his 3 years of involvement, and which ultimately led to a highly successful exit to Allegion plc..

He is currently invested alongside Rockpool Investments LLPin EC Electronics Group Ltd, a rapidly expanding c.£40m t/o UK headquartered global specialist in Electronics Manufacturing Services with multiple plants across Europe.
