About Tracy Featherstone:

I am a mature, energetic individual, with a positive outlook on life.

I have 11 years experience in the Financial and Administrative sector. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career thus far, and seek to continue in the same line of work - but with one added dimension - I long to work in an environment where I can interact either with the elderly, or with children and/or young adults. I am passionate about building relationships and making a positive contribution to society. I worked in an upmarket dental practice for the past 11 years, and one of the reasons that I enjoyed my job so much, was that I had the opportunity to develop and nurture strong relationships with the Practice's patients. 

I am methodical, conscientious and steadfast in my attitude towards tackling a task.

I always give of my best, take responsibility for my actions and see a task to completion.

I understand the importance of good time management and of having good organisational skills.

I have excellent interpersonal skills, which I believe would be beneficial in any working environment, whether it be an office environment or in a more hands-on capacity, dealing directly with patients/clients/scholars or elderly people in a supportive role.

I have an approachable, empathetic nature and tend to be the peacemaker or mediator in conflict situations.

I have a teachable spirit, pick up concepts quickly and am always eager to develop and grow and improve myself.

My heart's desire is to make a difference - that whatever I do, I do it to the very best of my ability and for the improvement of someone else's situation. My greatest fear is that I shall be indifferent to the suffering and needs of others.

I believe that a life which does not enrich another in some way, is a life wasted. 

I would very much appreciate an opportunity to use the skills that I have developed over the years, both in the workplace and in life generally, to make a positive contribution to the lives of people with whom I interact, and to the community at large.

 

 

Experience

For the past 11 years, up until the end of March this year, I worked in an administrative and bookkeeping role at an upmarket dental practice in South Africa.

I have a good understanding of the basic bookkeeping principles, and have applied this knowledge in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

I have experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, Sage Payroll and Pastel Express Version 14.

I am also familiar with a bespoke Practice Management System called Elixir Live.

Education

From 1987 to 1990, I attended Rhodes University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Microbiology and Botany. As an extra credit, I also did Psychology 1 in my fourth year.

In 2015, I obtained a Diploma in Bookkeeping and Business Literacy from the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB - SA).
