Guild Lodge Hospital (September 2021 - October 2021) - Healthcare Assistant
I was able to maintain a proper boundary between myself and the patients.
I learnt how to build rapport with the patients and develop a bond with them so that they can open up more and be more observant.
Team work is really important as if one person isn't doing their job then everything falls apart is what I learned.
I have learnt how to be more responsible as I had to be responsible for the patients care as well as their needs but also the security to make sure the security is right.

Next (November 2021 - December 2021) - Sales Assistant/Delivery
I was able to work in a team effectively and work independently according to the time limit that I would be given for each task. 
I learnt to work under pressure and to work within a time frame. It was important that I communicated to my colleagues but also it was important that I communicated effectively to the customers that came in and that I shower politeness to them.
Many transferable skills from the Guild Lodge Hospital can apply here such as good communication and empathetic but also a dedication to work to ensure that work is done appropriately and done effectively.

COVID-19 LAMP Laboratory – NHS Lancashire Teaching Hospital (February 2022 - April 2022)
I have to work with samples from the employees and because of this I would have to ensure that areas that I work within are sterilised and making sure that the samples that I work with aren’t contaminated.
I learnt how to use a PCR machine and work effectively with Mastermix and pipetting appropriately with the samples and the Rapliyze on the Bays. However, an important thing to remember was to make sure not to contaminate because a sample might be positive.
I learnt how to work two machines such as the genie and the myra machine. The myra machine will pipette 5 microliters of the sample into the mastermix but sometimes you can do that manually if the myra is overwhelmed. The genie machine will show whether or not the sample is positive and its important you write on the document what the filename for the samples you put in.
I learnt to work within a good team and to make sure that I communicated effectively within the team. If there was any trouble I would talk to a Band 6 and let them know. Communication is really important when you are dealing with a large amount of samples.

Learnt how to work properly within a team and how to work within a retail environment.
I was able to work independently and help the customers out for what they need etc…
I worked alongside other volunteers and built good relationships which means better teamwork as we all get along nicely.
