I'm a Cambridge MBA student with over 4 years of experience as a fintech product manager (>20M users), specialising in mobile, lending, and system implementation. I helped KBank, a Southeast Asian bank, launch and digitalise its businesses in Thailand and Vietnam. Senior Digital Lending Product Manager – Manager
• Established infrastructure for a more data-driven business model by overseeing the implementation of KBank Vietnam’s data warehouse system, launching the system in 6 months
• Laid down foundation for a first-in-the-market lending and BaaS business model with a 5-year target of $US1bn by leading process design and securing solution approval from executives
• Unblocked bottleneck due to technical staff shortage, averting a delay of 5 months, by taking up additional tasks of analysing system impacts and designing system architecture covering over 10 applications
Digital Lending Product Manager – Manager
• Enabled the introduction of KBank’s 1st retail lending product in Vietnam by researching market practice and regulations, resulting in the acquisition of over 3,000 customers within 1 year
• Facilitated development of a digital loan application channel, mentoring 11 recruits, 8 without lending experience, to launch the app within 6 months
• Ensured the right choice of IT vendor for KBank Vietnam’s digital transformation project, encompassing lending and payment, by training and leading a 5-person team to produce around 500 criteria and 200 test scenarios for vendor selection
Mobile Application Product Manager – Manager
• Enhanced security for borrowers across Thailand by leading a regulatory technology project alongside 10 departments and a regulator, resulting in creation of a national standard for digital loan application
• Proposed and implemented a new bank-wide standard for verifying retail customers’ personal information to reduce compliance risk
• Increased unsecured credit applications by 4 times, achieving US$1bn of approved credit limit in 6 months by implementing loan and credit card application features on mobile and optimising customer journey – won KBank’s 2021 project of the year award
Mobile Application Product Manager – Assistant Manager
• Created KBank’s omnichannel lending strategy framework (across 6 channels) by identifying conflicts between parallel projects, avoiding over US$1mn in unnecessary investment
• Eliminated customers’ inbound calls on selected mobile application problems by initiating and making relevant changes to application features
• Scrum master of a 16-member strong SME lending squad for a year, playing a critical role in pushing forward my organisation’s agile transformation.
• Managed front-end development of an international payment function, achieving $0.8M in revenue and cost saving in the first 6 months of the feature’s release
Mobile Application Product Manager
• Guaranteed highest software quality by identifying nearly 1,000 defects during the 2-month testing phase of a major mobile application revamp project
• Simplified a new insurance platform’s user journey through working with designers, insurance product managers, and negotiating with partners, leading to the over US$1mn in insurance premium income within 1 month after launch
• Helped the Bank win awards from The Asian Banker, an international financial services publication, for its banking application through co-writing award entries
