My passion for caregiving stems from personal experience. At the age of 15, my mother was involved in an accident that left her paralyzed. I took on the responsibility of caring for her, which involved tasks such as bathing, assisting with toileting, maneuvering her wheelchair, and ensuring she took her medication at the appropriate times. This experience not only honed my caregiving skills, but also instilled in me a genuine empathy and compassion for others.

In terms of my qualifications, I possess a range of relevant skills that will enable me to excel in a caregiving role. I have worked as a Caregiver for 3 years. I am knowledgeable in areas such as COSHH, RIDDOR, Safeguarding Adults (L1&L2), First Aid, Basic Life Support, Mental Capacity, Health, Safety And Welfare, and End of Life Care.

Experience

Having trained at Ekuphumuleni Geriatric care home as a caregiver, I have developed a solid understanding of the responsibilities and duties associated with caregiving. I am well-versed in administering medication, assisting with toileting, feeding patients, lifting and transferring individuals, dressing wounds, and performing laundry duties. I wor there for three years.
