    Description
    The role and the company:

Be an essential part of the mission to become the top Pharmacy-led retailer globally. Our focus is always on providing exceptional care to our patients, standing out from other UK Pharmacy chains.

This is an exciting opportunity to advance your Pharmacy career and have a positive impact on our patients' lives.

    How you will contribute:

Employing a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, you will motivate the pharmacy team to ensure our standards emphasize our dedication to patient well-being. Upholding legal and ethical standards, our aim is to offer top-notch service.

Precision and compassion are key to this role. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy and healthcare business, as well as managing the day-to-day activities of the dispensary. Mastery of the technical aspects of medication supply, along with a focus on excellent patient care, is essential.

By guiding and assisting your pharmacy team and collaborating closely with the Pharmacist and Store Leader, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our business.

    Daily activities:

You will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy and healthcare business, overseeing the day-to-day management of the dispensary.

    Key responsibilities include:
    • Ensuring legal, safe, and ethical decision-making within the pharmacy.
    • Meeting set targets for product and service delivery revenue.
    • Adhering to legal requirements and professional standards in line with Boots' guidelines on professional conduct.
    • Tailoring conversations with each customer to ensure they leave feeling well-informed and confident about their healthcare needs, and mentoring other members of the pharmacy team to do the same.
    • Identifying opportunities to engage with external stakeholders to secure locally commissioned services and enhance service offerings.
    • Efficiently managing dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing errors.
    • Handling medicine orders, labeling, dispensing, endorsing, and verifying prescriptions.

    Required qualifications:

We present an exciting career path for you. This is an opportunity to advance your professional and pharmacy journey. You should hold an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council to join our team.

However, beyond experience, we seek individuals with a genuine dedication to customer care. We are looking for those who can lead and support the dispensary team, driving pharmacy strategy alongside the team.

To work in our dispensaries, completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is necessary.

You may also pursue becoming an Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) with us. We provide the necessary training and support to help you achieve this goal. As you enhance your healthcare knowledge through these qualifications and roles, you will see the impact on your remuneration and benefits.

Excitingly, this role is just one of many potential paths your career could follow at Boots.

    Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are foundational to our operations. We are staunch advocates of equal opportunities and celebrate the diversity of our workforce, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment for all. We offer diverse working arrangements to help our employees achieve a healthy work-life balance.

This position may require a DBS/PVG check in specific locations. Boots adheres to the Ban the Box initiative and evaluates the suitability of candidates with criminal records on a case-by-case basis. Candidates will have the opportunity to address any concerns with us before a decision is made.

    Benefits:

We provide a comprehensive range of benefits that extend beyond salary, offering flexibility to suit your needs:
