The ONE Group are delighted to be partnering with a growing distribution business based in Peterborough. Due to a team restructure, they are looking to appoint a competent and commercially aware Accountant, on a part time basis
- up to 3 days a week.
This role will truly see you acting as the heartbeat of the department.

You will take the lead on whole accounting function, from the transactional general ledger accounts all the way up to the month end processes and year end audits.

It is essential that youare able to use
SAP or
Sage efficiently and have experience in dealing with
foreign currency.

Playing a vital part in helping this business grow, you will take full accountability of the following responsibilities:

Managing and overseeing transactional processes including Purchase/Sales ledger and bank reconciliations.
Leading and coordinating the month end close.
Preparing monthly management accounts, including balance sheet recs and variance commentary.
P&L and cashflow forecasting.
Dealing with foreign currency

- starling, US dollars and euros

Payroll processing
PAYE
Identifying areas to improve current processes.

Qualifications aren't essential for the role, as long as you are a self-starter and understand accounting principles and methods you may be considered.

Your working hours can be flexible, 1-3 days a week of your choice.
The full time equivalent salary for the role is up to £50,000.
