- Lead the finance function and ensure robust financial controls and processes are maintained
- Prepare and improve financial reporting including monthly management accounts
- Responsible for cash management including forecasts, payment runs and maintaining supplier relationships
- Proactive management of creditors
- Preparation of quarterly forecasts and budgets
- Input and delivery of one-off internal projects
- Run the monthly payroll process
- Oversee the monthly VAT return
- Oversee procurement process for non-specialist materials and ensure control and visibility is maintained
- Ensure the Board of Directors are routinely updated on the financial performance of the business
- Review financial aspects of contract proposals and tenders
- Main point of contact for the company's accountants, payroll bureau and insurance brokers
- Maintaining clear lines of communication between your department and all relevant surrounding internal departments.
- Maintaining appropriate discretion and confidentiality over operations within the company.
- Providing critical input into operations and processes across the company, offering creative solutions and constructive criticism to areas of short-coming
