Tax Manager - 12 Month FTC

£65,000 - £75,000

London, (hybrid, 4 office days p/week)

Cobalt is currently supporting a leading property investment company in their search for a Tax Manager on a 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract, to cover a maternity leave.

The Tax Manager will be responsible for both VAT and corporate tax requirements for a portfolio of entities, whilst supporting the Head of Tax on internal advisory work.

Working closely within the Tax team, the Tax Manager will be responsible for reviewingVAT returns, as well as returns for other taxes to ensure they are delivered efficiently and timely.

Responsibilities

Oversight of UK and oversees tax returns, including VAT and corporate
Review consolidated financial statements and related tax disclosures
Adjusting legislation changes accordingly to the business's jurisdictions, while also monitoring its impacts on operations and ensuring full compliance
Liaising with tax authorities, including HMRC and running standard tax audits
Driving the provision of tax accounts to other parts of the business and responding accordingly to any queries
Reviewing tax forecasts and managing tax payments
Communicating with the Legal and wider Finance Teams to ensure accurate recording
Assisting the Tax Director on internal advisory work
