The Finance department is integral to each business within What's Possible. We are looking for a Financial Director to drive the financial performance of every aspect of the group. Location: London head office, finance team most Kent based. Salary: £100k+ depending on experience. The role We are looking for a hands-on Finance Director from a UK Media agency, who is prepared to get into the detail from day 1, to join our Finance Team here at the What's Possible Group. You will be responsible for making key financial, business-related decisions and ensuring that budgets/forecasts are met across the company. You must be an experienced finance professional with strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, leadership ability and strategic thinking. The goal is to promote and expand the company's commercial activity that will generate revenues and lead to sustainable growth. This is an Exec Board position, and you will be working closely with the CEO and senior teams across the group. Requirements What you'll be doing:
    • To provide strategic financial guidance to ensure that all financial business KPI's are achieved.
    • Driving commercial outcomes, working with the commercial, trading and client teams and connecting them with the finance department
    • Developing and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
    • Be a mentor and a leader to all finance staff to ensure they can carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
    • Develop and monitor the operating budget to ensure financial targets and budget development and monitoring are met.
    • Implement an internal audit programme to ensure that the company complies with all financial and statutory regulations.
    • Monitor external contracts and suppliers to ensure these are effective and deliver on service agreements.
    • Develop all necessary policies to ensure sound financial management and control of the business.
    • Report to management and stakeholders (including our creditors) to provide advice and guidance on key business decisions.
    • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
    • Analyse market trends and competitors.
    • Access, manage and minimise risk.
    What you'll bring to the role:
    • Must have Media background
    • Either an FD early in their career or FC looking to step up
    • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting process
    • Strategic thinking/analytical mind

    You will be qualified in one of the major six chartered accountancy body qualifications:
    • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
    • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
    • Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA)
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW)
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI)
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS)
