Procurement at IHG
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Global Procurement function for a passionate and hands-on Supplier Diversity Specialist to support the Global Procurement function deliver on our Supplier Diversity Programme expansion.

One aspect of our strategy is to drive an inclusive culture amongst our supply base, so we are expanding our Supplier Diversity Programme into the UK market and need a passionate individual to drive this agenda forwards.
About the role
This is an exciting role for a passionate individual early on in their career to join our Responsible Procurement & Capabilities team within Global Procurement and will focus primarily on the UK supplier diversity programme, whilst working closely with team members in other regions.
Global Procurement plays a key role at IHG by leading procurement activities across corporate and hotel related categories, partnering with stakeholders across the business to enable decision making and working in partnership with our supply base.
Key responsibilities:
- Support PaCE colleagues in defining and executing initiatives that deliver on commitments made as part of IHG's Responsible Business strategy.
- Assist the implementation of our EPIC Supplier Diversity Program across Procurement, the wider business & managed hotels (as appropriate), including colleague communication, training and ongoing support.
- Provide day to day coaching and support for supplier diversity matters with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with developing guidelines to operational teams in business and hotels to help them source responsibly in support of supplier diversity targets.
- Provide key input into the ongoing evolution and implementation of the supplier diversity maturity and targets.
- Support understanding legislative and ethical expectations associated to supply of products and services.
- Work closely with CR, Risk, Ethics and DE&I teams to support raising awareness of IHG's responsible business commitments internally.
- Provide support in the collation of data and information and subsequent internal and external reporting of Responsible Procurement activity.
What we're looking for
Critical Expertise & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years corporate experience
- experience of working in a franchise environment and engaging with multiple stakeholder groups, 3) some knowledge of activities or programs to support inclusive supply chain strategy.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Some ability to partner across the organization to support driving change in the Responsible Procurement agenda
- Some understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion, and social impact initiatives
- Ability to influence peers and navigate across a matrix organisation
- Good sense of prioritisation, organisational skills and time management
- Good Microsoft office skills
- Good communication skills
