    Position Summary

    The Senior Payroll Specialist is a vital role within our Payroll team supporting colleagues across the UK & EMEA regions. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be part of small, close knit team responsible for entering data in to the ADP Celergo software system and answering employee queries on and around Payroll.

    Due to exciting project work where we will transform our Workday People Team system with Payroll we have the opportunity to recruit a permanent member of the Payroll Team as well as someone on a Fixed Term contract to support.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile multiple European payrolls in a timely manner; coordinating additional payrolls as and when needed.
  • Maintain payroll records for all deductions including pensions and other benefit deductions.
  • Process and payment of non-standard wages: commissions, bonuses, expense reimbursements, relocation.
  • Create reports using MS Excel and other Payroll software
  • Support Equity compensation vesting and exercise processing.
  • Support audit process for both internal and external auditors.
  • High level of integrity and maturity essential due to sensitive nature of the information.
  • Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and recommend solutions to improve payroll processing function.
  • Follow-up on tax filing or payroll problems.
  • Reconcile tax reporting as well as year-end.
  • Assist employees with payroll inquiries.
  • Timekeeping system maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Preferred Traits, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders including internal and external
  • Experience with payroll systems, ideally ADP Celergo
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel
  • Interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with the team and other employees
  • Able to be a strong team player and work independently where necessary
  • Experience of data inputting ideally within a payroll environment
  • Adhering to GDPR, confidentiality and data protection legislation
  • Assisting the payroll manager where necessary to ensure all task are done
  • Responding to queries and completing tasks within deadlines and SLAs
  • Attention to detail is essential in this role
  • This role will be based from our Manchester, Spinningfields office however we do operate a hybrid working model with 2-3 days in the office a week.
