Part time (14 hours per week)
£16-£17 per hour

I am recruiting for a children support officer to provide admin support within the Disabled children outreach service this is on temp part time basis of 14 hours per week reporting directly to the Manger for children with disabilities outreach service.

Job Role

You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative support service to a one sleep counsellor who needs assistance to document all aspects of his direct work with parents, families and children this is needed due to support worker being registereddisabled and needs support with typing, note taking, documentation, physical assistance in community locations.

Main


Responsibilities:


  • Undertaking a broad range of administrative tasks to support the sleep counsellor to complete his role effectively.
  • Maintaining local IT systems and data bases which support the administrative and finance functions.
  • Supporting sleep counsellor to attend team meetings.
  • Sometimes, accompanying sleep counsellor on home visits to meet families and young people with learning and physical disabilities.
  • Completing confidential notes regarding circumstances/progress achieved by children, parents and families.
  • Respectfully maintaining client confidentiality as a high priority in all settings and within the community as a whole.
  • Carrying equipment, meeting at taxi and support access to buildings.
  • Developing and maintaining relevant computer filling/archiving systems and procedures.
Essential skills

  • High level of IT skills and familiar with Microsoft teams' software'steams, word etc
  • Previous experience in supporting people with additional needs.
  • Experience of working with the public
  • Experience of working in a multi racial environment and equal opportunities.
