Experienced Civil/Structural Engineer - Rail - Monday to Friday - Salary Ranges On Experience - Permanent - Based in Ipswich, Suffolk


Hales Group are working with our client to assist with the continued growth of their company, by advertising for an experienced engineer to join their Civil & Structures department.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years' experience all the way through to principle.


This role would suit those with some experience of working in a consultancy environment now looking for progression or their next challenge.

Those looking to come in at Principal Engineer level would be suited to those who have established UK experienceand wish to lead design and or teams.


Hours
Monday to Friday


Salary
This will be offered accordingly due to the individuals experience. Please enquire to find out the salary range.


The Role and Duties


The Rail team work across the industry on civil and structural projects carrying out inspections, reporting, asset management support and design of new works.


Recent project work includes extensive inspections and reporting, in some cases on high-risk structures, platform reconstruction, canopy refurbishment, new depots, car parks, bridge reconstructions and other station works.


  • The team has an excellent reputation and has experienced strong success.
  • Travelling to site for inspections.
  • Taking part in the structural design in the main materials.
  • Checking design work form other employees.
  • Working with the technicians to produce drawings.
  • You will need a degree or equivalent in Structural/Civil Engineering or HNC.
  • You need to be proactive, happy to travel to sites and office locations if required.
  • Be happy to work nights on rare occasions, however planning and time off are considered if this is required.
  • Have a full, clean driver's license
  • You should be keen to develop as options into different careers could be offered.
  • Rail experience is preferred, but this is only desirable.
  • You must have senior experience for this role.
