- This full-time substantive post focuses on providing inpatient care and treatment to 18 NHS patients, with part-time or job-sharing options available.
- The post involves participation in an on-call rota, offering Consultant support to the Resident Medical Officer, with a commitment to on-call duties included in the salary.
- The Consultant Psychiatrist reports to the on-site Medical Director.
- Oversight of patients under the MHA and voluntary patients, clinical leadership in assessment and discharge planning, weekly MDT reviews, CPAs, and discharge planning.
- Collaboration with the MDT, monitoring progress, ensuring completion of treatment plans, and providing clinical supervision to the Specialty Doctor.
- Support Provided:
- Regular management supervision, participation in clinical forums, peer group sessions, DBT consult, and access to study leave.
- Professional Requirements:
- GMC registration with a license to practice, specialization in General Adult Psychiatry, and AC approval.
- Desirable Criteria:
- Prior experience in acute inpatient services, supervision experience, medical appraiser training, and Quality Improvement Projects.
- All roles are subject to a satisfactory DBS check, covered by the employer.
