Working Hours:40 Hours per week, mixture of early/late/day and weekend shifts.


Main Purposes of Position


To lead the London Heliport Customer Operations team in providing a comprehensive, safe service to customers, aircrew, visitors, and passengers using The London Heliport.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the Operations Coordination team and provision of front of house services to all callers, visitors and users of the heliport.
  • Carry out all duties of an Operations Coordinator including shift work and weekend working.
  • Oversee and conduct initial and ongoing training of operations staff.
  • Manage Operations staff rostering including authorisation of annual leave to optimise available staffing in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Ensure landing slot requests are processed and planned in accordance with heliport operating instructions, liaising with internal air traffic and handling/ firefighting functions and ensure the safe and smooth running of the flying programme.
  • Provide a high standards of customer service and care.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with operators and users of The Heliport.
  • Ensure safety and security of passengers, aircrew and visitors in landside areas and during handover to and from airside at all times.
  • Compile and provide reports to internal departments and external stakeholders and authorities.
  • Manage stocks and supplies to service the department including customer lounges.
  • Maintain presentation of all public landside facilities
  • Manage purchasing of supplies and consumables for all departments.
  • Act as part of the emergency incident team (including first aid) under Heliport emergency orders.
  • Act as a member of the London Heliport safety management and emergency planning committees.
  • Liaise with the Civil Aviation Authority, emergency services, local and national security, border and public protection agencies and any other interested external statutory bodies.
  • Perform all duties as trained in accordance with Safety Management Systems, Company Health, Safety & Environment Policy, other company policies and procedures and The Heliport Manual, observing external regulatory authorities as appropriate.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as delegated or directed.

Salary:
£36,000.00 per year
