Your New Role:


We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent role Capacity Planner Supervisor to join our team in Kent based in Aylesford, ME20 7BU.


The salary is between £29, ,000, depending on your experienced and qualifications.


Amey has been working in partnership with Kent County Council since 2013, with a team of 150 operatives we deliver a full range of highways maintenance services from road and footway repairs and improvement schemes to gritting.


We provide 24-hour emergency cover for any incidents on the road network as well as investment in the highway's infrastructure.


By investing in local infrastructure, we aim to improve the county's highways, benefiting the community and people by keeping the towns and cities moving.

Capacity Planner Supervisor plays an important part within OCR team.

As Capacity Planner Supervisor you will manage and assist your own team of 7 and be part of wider OCR team counting 14 people.

Your main tasks will involve managing your own team, planning & budget forecasts, monitoring and managing clients, analysis of the performance data, work alongside with different teams and co-ordinate data from commercial team.


The standard working hours are 40 hours per week, shift pattern predicts start at 8am till 5pm from Monday till Friday.

You will be responsible for:


  • People management that includes sickness/leave/disciplinary, KPIs
  • Managing the Operational controllers/OCR/Permit and plan works
  • Permitting and Allocating SPL Treatment Works micro, surfacing, lining, ironworks, road stud and High-Pressure Patching programme
  • Forecasting of works in line with internal and external budgets and forecasting of required labour resource/number of gangs
  • Monitoring of client budgets and expenditure to inform planning activity
  • Monitoring of monthonmonth performance and updating of capacity planner with works volumes
  • Analysis and interpretation of performance data for continuous improvement
  • Liaison across OCR and Operational functions as required

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Driving license and your own transport to get to the site
  • Experience as Capacity Planner with People's Management skills or experience
  • Ability to handle the pressure within the busy environment and meet your deadlines
  • Knowledge and Understanding of Highways Maintenance Contracts
  • Formal Logistics experience gained in a fastmoving automated logistics environment
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking, and selfmotivated individual with problem solving skills
  • Strong IT and Microsoft Excel Skills with knowledge of CONFIRM program
  • Excellent level of organisation and administration
  • Excellent communicator and problem solver with ability to present complex information


Ideally you will be experienced in role of Capacity Planner with People's Management skills and background of Transport Infrastructure such as Highways or Street works.


In addition to this, it would be desirable if you would have experience with program called CONFIRM and fluent IT skills in Microsoft Office programs to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
