Description
North Locality MLCO has an exciting opportunity for an empathetic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our established Community Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation Team in a Band 5 post.
The post involves carrying a complex and varied caseload of patients with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties. This will involve working closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Specialist nurses and Neuro Psychologists.The service is passionate about delivering high quality, patient centered care within the patient's own homes and wider community settings and as a result the successful candidate will be required to travel across the city of Manchester.
To provide assessment and intervention for patients with acquired swallowing and/or communication problems, for the Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team and Community Stroke Team as required.
To be involved in service development and incentives to improve patient care and ensure the provision of a high quality service.
