    Job summary

    The post holder will be delegated responsibility for day-to-day delivery and management of resources and staff, delivering the service within a specific area and NEPTS contracts, which will align with the overall Integration Directorate and be accountable to the Contracts Lead and Operations Lead.

    There are three posts available:

    Contracts Manager - Luton & Bedfordshire

    Contracts Manager - North Essex

    Contracts Manager - Hertfordshire & West Essex

    Main duties of the job

    The post holder will be delegated responsibility for day-to-day delivery and management of resources and staff, delivering the service within a specific area and NEPTS contracts, which will align with the overall Integration Directorate and be accountable to the Contracts Lead and Operations Lead.

    The post holder will lead and have line management responsibility for the Local Operational Teams and manage the day-to-day relationship with the local ICB aligned to the NEPTS contracts.

    The Contracts Manager, NEPTS must ensure all staff assigned to the NEPTS contract deliver high-quality services in line with the Trust's values, policies and procedures, as well as overseeing the management of attendance, performance, and conduct.

    The post holder will ensure compliance with Health and Safety, and infection prevention control, on all aspects within your group of stations, and be accountable for delivering services within the budget of the locality.

    The Contracts Manager, NEPTS will work with the Trust's HR Department and aligned People Strategy and annual workforce plans, to identify recruitment requirements and lead in the recruitment and selection processes.

    We provide 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

    We offer non-emergency patient transport services in parts of our region. We can help patients who need non-emergency transport to and from hospital, treatment centres and other similar facilities.

    We can also provide transport for people who can't travel unaided because of their medical condition or frailty.

    Job responsibilities

    The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of Key Performance Indicators through effective tasking and delivery of actions. The post holder will lead on the contract management relationship with ICB partners and track and monitor data to support this. Managing risk, in line with corporate guidance, and being responsible for the areas Risk Register.

    The post holder will be responsible for addressing patient and internal complaints, within set target timeframes.

    Qualifications/Knowledge

  • Professional knowledge acquired through degree supplemented by diploma level specialist training, management qualification, or equivalent, and experience.
