    Post Title: MRI Radiographer -Grade: Band 6

    Salary:£35,392-£42,618 per annum (Pro rata)

    We are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Radiographer to join our friendly and supportive MRI service here in Bradford. Full time to zero hour contracts available.

    We are looking for a dedicated, patient focused Radiographer who will need to have a flexible approach and be able to work autonomously as an individual or as part of a team. The post will involve working across our 3 sites which operate extended hours over 7 days. Previous experience of MRI is desirable.

    3 of our 4 scanners are less than 2 years old with the 4th due for replacement in the next 12 months.

    Summary of Qualifications required:

    BSc Radiography or equivalent, HCPC Registered. Experience in the use of RIS and PACS.

    Safe and supportive patient centered care.

    Perform effective safety screening of patients and staff entering the MR environment in line with local rules.

    Provide reassurance and support to patients undergoing MRI, who are often anxious about the procedure.

    Produce high quality MRI images in line with departmental protocols.

    Understanding medical requests.

    Perform venous cannulation using ANTT and effective infection control techniques.

    Safely administer IV contrast.

    Safe moving and handling of patients with poor mobility.

    Comply with information governance policies to maintain patient confidentiality

    Autonomous working

    The Radiology Department at Bradford provides a comprehensive imaging service to support the wide spectrum of clinical work undertaken within the Trust. Our imaging work covers three sites, Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke's Hospital and Eccleshill Community Diagnostic Centre. Our scanners include 2 Philips scanners (Ambition and Evolution) a Siemens SOLA and a Siemens Avanto Fit (due for replacement in the next 12 months)

    All major clinical specialties, with the exceptions of transplant surgery, neurosurgery and cardiac surgery are represented in the Trust.
