Unix Technical Specialist 6 months with potential extensions Remote working with potential days in Edinburgh office ££ Inside Ir35

With one of Lorien's top banking clients

Work as part of a wider team to transition Unix Redhat servers to a new support team. Create new and modify existing scripts that will automate data extracts and deploy software (client agents) to servers.

Deliver change in a virtually hosted server estate Deploy, install & configure server agents, such s HPSA, Flextera, Qualis, Qualys, etc.

Config instructions will be provided.

Support team with decommission activities, using scripts to pull back server configuration data that can be used to determine if servers in the wider are being actively used if not when they were last used.

Support the deployment and build of new servers.

Support transition of server estate form existing support team to new target support team, includes documenting estate and update of knowledge base.

Knowledge of HP Blade Chassis configuration and support management - not essential but nice to have
