Location:
Juno Women's Aid premises and partner locations


Hours:
Full-time (37 hours per week)


Contract:
Temp to Fixed Term Contract Until 31st March 2024


Salary:
£13.34 p/h

Ready to be the beacon of hope for survivors? A local Women's Aid Charity is looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of SASS (Survivor Advocacy Support Services) Accommodation - BAME Specialist.


Unlocking Potential, Empowering Lives:
As a Domestic Violence specialist, you'll stand alongside survivors, guiding them towards safety and autonomy.

Your role will be crucial in providing support tailored to the unique needs of women from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities.


Your Role:


  • Craft individualized safety support plans, honoring cultural and religious considerations.
  • Advocate fiercely for survivors, ensuring their voices are heard in external agencies.
  • Collaborate with partners to strengthen safety plans and reduce revictimisation.
  • Foster peer support and empowerment through group sessions.

Your Qualities:


  • Domestic abuse support work experience
  • Current DBS
  • Strong communicator: Advocating effectively for survivors.
  • Cultural sensitivity: Valuing diversity and promoting antidiscriminatory practices.
  • Empathetic resilience: Supporting survivors on their unique journeys.
