Cleveland Clinic London is looking to recruit a Ward Clerk to join our Neurosciences & Orthopaedics team with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £28,000.

What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Ward Clerk to join our Neurosciences & Orthopaedics team.


The Ward Clerk will undertake administrative duties such as scheduling and managing bookings in conjunction with the clinical team and central reservations.

You will be expected to ensure revenue is captured in an accurate and timely manner through verifying and abstracting patients' account along with liaising in a professional and friendly manner when dealing with patients, relatives, visitors and other Caregivers.


Role information


This is a full time, permanent position would require the post holder to work up to 37.5 hours per week.

This is a Monday-Saturday, Days/Weekends role with the following shift patterns:

  • Monday to Saturday Long Days


The maximum salary on offer for this opportunity would be £28,000 and would be dependent upon experience and competencies against the role requirements.


What will your duties include?

  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, letter writing and dealing with telephone enquiries.
  • Management of personnel files in liaison with the Nurse Manager.
  • Perform minute taking for departmental meetings.
  • Represent the department at hospital meetings.
  • Responsible for stationery orders and maintenance of stationery levels ensuring strict cost control in liaison with the department manager.

What we need from you:


  • NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent in administration is desirable
  • Previous administration experience including minute taking.
  • Previous experience within a healthcare setting (i.e. hospital).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Desirable to be competent in /have had exposure to the use of an electronic heath record system such as EPIC.
