    We have an opportunity for an experienced buyer to join the Womenswear team at Next, focusing on Dresses . This role will be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, self motivated buyer to embrace the challenge of starting a new project and nurturing its growth from the start. You will be responsible for planning and buying the product, delivering agreed KPIs for sales, markdown and profit. The job would be based in our Enderby office and would require regular travel to our brand partner.

    About the role

  • Develop a commercially successful product range
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers
  • Analysing data and planning the range across all categories with the designers and merchandisers in your team.
  • Utilise a range of specialist functions such as product technology and sourcing to develop outstanding products.
  • Working with the e-commerce team to optimise online sales through the use of TOV, imagery and other optimisation tools.
  • Liaising with our Marketing team to organise campaign and ecomm shoots, within department budgets
  • Manage the critical path for product development and selection
  • Trading the ranges and acting quickly to identify new product opportunities.
  • Effectively manage your team, delegating resources and workload while ensuring team members are motivated and focused.
  • Travel to source the best product and prices.
  • Regular travel and sign off ranges

  • Ability to manage multi product ranges.
  • Clear understanding of brand dna.
  • Great trend awareness and insight.
  • Excellent analytical and planning skills.
  • Ability to interpret the latest trends for the target customer.
  • Proven track record to identify opportunities to reduce the critical path and trade ranges in season.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Enthusiastic attitude and team player.
