      About NeonDaisy

      NeonDaisy is a Bristol-based social enterprise working with neurodivergent girls and gender non-conforming young people and their families. We run neuro-affirmative autistic-led groups for young people to connect with others as their true selves, as well as helping parents and professionals to be allies to neurodivergent young people.

      We're committed to helping our neurodiverse team to bloom; this is at the heart of everything we do. The Operations Coordinator will have a critical role in enabling this.

      Role summary

      This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on the wellbeing of autistic young people through your efficient behind-the-scenes coordination. This role would suit someone who's interested in taking on some vital responsibilities in a small, friendly and very supportive team.

      You'll be responsible for the smooth running of two of our creative youth groups for autistic young people which run between September and March. You'll create and work to a project plan so the groups run efficiently and on time. This will involve coordinating our team of neurodivergent group facilitators and our partners, along with liaising with parents over the phone and on email.

      As well as this, you'll support with other administrative tasks as needed to ensure the business runs efficiently.

      You'll be a pragmatic person who enjoys mediating different viewpoints and information to find the best way forward. You don't tend to get bogged down in detail, but you do like to see your projects through from start to finish.

      You'll also be an adaptable communicator. You stay calm and collected if something unexpected is thrown into the mix, and you're always interested in exploring more efficient ways of doing things.

      This is an exciting role for someone who's super task-driven but also interested in having a hands-on role in the growth of a dynamic and ambitious social enterprise.

      Role outline:

      Coordinating youth groups

      • Creating and working to a project delivery plan for the successful delivery of two youth groups running concurrently between September 2024 and March 2025
      • Coordinating and supporting a neurodiverse network of group facilitators, volunteers and partners to ensure everyone has the information they need to work efficiently before and during the project, eg:

      -Coordinating training workshops, meetings and supervision session

      -Ensuring accessible and efficient information-sharing and record-keeping

      -Managing shared calendar and coordinating onboarding calls

      • Working with NeonDaisy facilitators to ensure there are no barriers to inclusion/access
      • Coordinating group venue logistics
      • Liaising with parents/carers via phone calls and emails to ensure smooth flow of information.
      • Responding to ad hoc queries about the groups.

      General business support

      • Finance support as needed, eg liaising with suppliers, managing and filing invoices
      • Database management
      • Maintaining quality of record keeping
      • Scheduling and coordinating policy reviews
      • Improving efficiency: Reviewing current processes and systems and scoping opportunities for improvements.

      Experience needed (essential)

      • Proven experience of coordinating people-led projects successfully (within the non-profit sector preferred although this isn't essential)
      • Proven experience in a business support, administrative or secretarial role

      • Excellent organisational and time management skills . For example, able to focus on delivering on priorities while managing overlapping projects and competing deadlines.
      • Initiative and resourcefulness : Ability to think creatively around problems and barriers to find solutions.
      • Adaptable communicator: Curious about understanding the communication needs of others; comfortable with adapting your own verbal and written style as needed to ensure accessibility for whole team.
      • Skilful communicator: Clear, concise and professional
      • Self-motivated and independent : Comfortable driving your own work forward, taking responsibility for your workflow and meeting milestones (support will be provided by the Operations Manager as needed).
      • Flexible approach: Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and responsibilities.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

      Other requirements:

      • Willingness to travel to occasional face to face meetings with team in Bristol area
      • Availability to work in the school holidays
      • Right to work in the UK
