JOB TITLE:
Senior Competence and Training Contract Support**
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage, maintain, and implement the Competence Management Service (CMS) for multiple clients across all their assets.
  • Support Petrofac Contract Manager and Focal Points with the implementation and embedding of competence across all sites included in the contract.
  • Attend periodic offshore trips to engage Assessor Teams and Management on client assets.
  • Train, Coach, mentor and support the onSite teams of Assessors.
  • Support the coaching and development of Team members in assessment and verification best practice.
  • Lead on the development, facilitation and implementation of team standardisation.
  • Lead on Awarding body approval (SQA Qualification Centre, ECITB Approval and OPITO Approval).
  • Maintain accurate information within the electronic portal.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and identify gaps, addressing any issues.
  • Lead others on approach to closure of Competence and Training gaps including within own team and internal and external client management.
  • Build collaborative relationships with both the internal Management team and external Management teams.
  • Supporting and coaching of team members, and offshore and onshore management teams on Assessment and Verification Practice and National Occupational Standards and Awarding Body requirements
  • Named Lead Internal Quality Assurer for Qualifications delivered through SQA Centre
  • Responsible for Awarding Body Annual Approvals
  • Responsible for identifying and meeting requirements of new Awarding and Approving Bodies, including identification of additional qualifications in line with business needs.
  • Accountable for Continuing Professional Development of all Assessors and Verifiers (We currently have circa 125 Assessors, Both on and offshore)
  • Responsible for development of sitebased assessments and alignment to ECITB Industry standard Connected Competence
  • Accountability for Internal alignment and communication with senior Management for Connected Competence industry processes
  • Contribution to maintaining Competence and Training Management Framework and standards to support currency and best practice delivery.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • Ability to analyse data on reports.
  • Ability to interrogate systems.
  • Ability to identify and define approach based on client culture.
  • Ability to quickly understand reasons for lack of compliance and define approach to drive performance.
  • Ability to define Awarding organisation requirements and translate into business process and practice.
  • Ability to carry out gap analysis between awarding organisations requirements.
  • Ability to develop and design philosophy for Competence and Training Management new business.
  • Workplace Assessor Qualification i.e. L&D9DI or equivalent
  • Internal Verifier Qualification I.e. L&D11 or equivalent
  • Good working experience of Microsoft Office tools
  • Current BOSIET & MIST or must be willing to obtain on commencement of role (this will be provided by Petrofac)
  • Knowledge and understanding of current best practice in assessment and verification.
  • Qualification with Occupational expertise for assessment, verification, and delivery of qualifications (i.e Leadership and Management, Technical Industry discipline, Apprenticeship or Learning & Development units)
  • Lead Auditor Qualification
  • NEBOSH qualification
  • Knowledge and experience of audit activities, scheduling, and process
  • Lead on KANBAN or other Agile Process
  • Ability to organise tasks, priorities and have forward planning.
  • Ability to adapt approaches to ensure the service is delivered, including review and maintenance of standards to maintain awarding and approving organisation standard requirements.
