We are working alongside a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, delivering high-profile construction projects across various sectors.

As they continue to expand operations, they are searching for a Senior Estimator to join the team based in the North West.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our pre-construction team, responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop competitive bids and deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

Conduct detailed analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements thoroughly.
Utilise industry-leading estimating software and methodologies to prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.

Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and risk assessments.

Participate in bid strategy meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance competitiveness and maximise project profitability.
Support the procurement process by negotiating favourable terms with subcontractors and suppliers, while maintaining strong working relationships.

Provide ongoing support to project teams during the construction phase, assisting with value engineering, cost tracking, and change management as required.

Mentor and support junior estimators, providing guidance and sharing best practices to foster professional development and team cohesion.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience in construction estimating, preferably with a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
Proven track record of successfully delivering accurate cost estimates for large-scale construction projects
Strong proficiency in estimating software such as ConQuest, Causeway, or similar platforms.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex project requirements.
