We are working with an Finance Advisor company who are recruiting for an Associate Consultant with some experience/knowledge of how DC Pensions work.
Permanent role - London based - Salary is £45K
The role:
You will be part of a specialist team who provide consultancy services to corporate clients, many of them in the Independent Schools sector. Initially this role will be involved only in non-regulated areas, but once fully qualified and authorised, this role will expand to other areas of regulated financial planning for corporate and individual clients.
You will be part of the team providing guidance on pension scheme governance, scheme design, scheme renewal, member presentations and member options for specialist pensions, specifically the Teachers' Pension Scheme
Providing information and guidance on workplace pensions and benefits
Contribute towards the development and management of the business objectives
Learn and keep up to date with changing legislation
Establish and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
Skills required:
You must have a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
Experience in a similar role working with private or corporate clients
Service/sales orientated: with outstanding customer service skills, translates client needs into engagements
Knowledge and understanding of how DC pensions work
Current technical knowledge of the financial planning and employee benefit consultancy process through appropriate industry exams and CPD, including products, funds, pensions, markets, appropriate financial instruments, the required regulatory standards and their relevance to clients. Knowledge of recent key developments, industry/market changes and regulations.
Strong IT literacy, in particular Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant internal systems/databases.
Awareness of the regulatory requirements and restrictions
Qualification:
Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
Commitment to achieve QCF Level 6 (Advanced Diploma or Chartered Status)
