What can you expect?
It's not often such a high-profile operations leader role becomes available within the world's largest reinsurance broker.

Reporting into the Head of International Operations, you will be responsible for the Continental Europe (CE) region operationally. Guy Carpenter in CE is a multi-country team of c. 300 colleagues with offices across the main hubs of Germany, France, Italy, Iberia, Benelux and the Nordics. The CE team are a highly significant part of the Guy Carpenter success story.

In this highly visible role, you will work closely with the CE CEO to deliver on a broad range of operational and strategic initiatives.

This role will play heavily on your collaboration and influencing working with in-country operation leads/office managers. Your skill be in working alongside the CE CEO to influence and deliver the portfolio of objectives.

We will rely on you to:

CE region is next for the rollout of our new operations operating platform. You will lead coordination of the implementation across the region, working closely with tech and broader stakeholders to deliver successfully.
Provide input and support to the FP&A team and CEO with the budget cycle and monthly reporting.
Work with the incountry operations leads on real estate in the region; most of the Guy Carpenter office portfolio is colocated with MMC however nuances will require operational input where required.
Own the coordination of regional internal audits, ensuring each country complies as required and follow up directly with the necessary remediation.
Drive the continuous improvement of processes, execute process changes to support achieving strategic objectives, improve quality and service delivery.
Manage a strong, collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders including your accounting and settlement peers to ensure alignment of initiatives and taking advantage of opportunities to collaborate.
Continue to build on the Guy Carpenter Excellence framework ensuring all processes and tools are aligned and comply with Professional Standards.

What you need to have:

A broad understand of the reinsurance market, having successfully executed in an operational leadership or similar role previously.
Numerically proficient to a level that can add value to the FP&A team's budget and reporting projects.
Experience of leading or significantly influencing the development of a new operating model.
Experience leading and driving process transformation / improvement at scale.
Experience leading hybrid teams, across multiple countries.
Ability to build and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders throughout all levels of the organization.
