Job Description Summary:
The EHS Advisor will develop practical and innovative way to identify and meet goals. In this role you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and the freedom and ability to affect both short
- and long-term business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise on Environmental, health & Safety (EHS) issues, ensuring compliance
- GE EHS Management system element ownership and support
- Key knowledge and support for
- EHS Framework functions.
- Conduct regular inspections and track findings through to closure.
- Provide direct internal support and leadership of EHS to your assigned business operation(s).
- Develop, provide and conduct training and educational programs to reinforce EHS awareness.
- Undertake and lead accident investigations, ensuring cases are logged and corrective actions are
- Support business needs out of hours, conduct forums and follow up on concerns
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in an Environmental &/or Health & Safety role
- Demonstrate an in depth knowledge of environmental and Health and Safety Legislation.
- Strong IT/ and data analysis skills.
- Proven experience and background with the GE corporate EHS management system programs
Desirable Requirements:
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent).
- Ability to prioritize workload commitment and multitask.
- Strong team player and ability to interact/ communicate well with a wide variety of functional
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with engaging and working closely with senior leadership team members
