Description
Professional Head of Facilities Management. Define and implement facilities strategy and plan to provide safe and effective work environments to meet business needs.Design FM strategy for group for current facilities needs, new business needs and to effectively mitigate obsolescence, climate-change, capacity and compliance risks across the estate.
Work collaboratively with suppliers, site general managers and other SLT and board stakeholders to advocate for well-researched and effective FM solutions, gaining buy-in and commitment.
Negotiate, alongside procurement specialists, to secure best value and compliance for FM capital projects and operational out-sourced suppliers.Programme Manager for FM capital projects, managing internal and external project teams to deliver FM requirements.
Senior responsible owner for FM standards, procedures and instructions, and their implementation as tools and systems accessible by site facilities teams.
Budget Manager for FM capital and out-sourced services.Act as the Facilities Subject Matter Expert when called upon to address regulatory and agency compliance issues, third party safety & liability consultants and subcontractor representatives.
Champion (or support) any key business specific activity as deemed appropriate by the Board, CEO and SLT.Lead by example as a key member of the senior functional leadership of the business.
Formal qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities Management or equivalent
Proven experience working within a maintenance department in a shipyard or multi-site heavy engineering/industrial setting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills on modern and legacy equipment.
