The Client

Our Client, established more than 30 years ago, are a highly established Principal Contractor working across sectors from Civil Engineering to Building, Land Remediation and Restoration.

Due to newly acquired contracts, they are looking to recruit an experiencedBIM Coordinator to work on their projects across the West Midlands.


Role

To complete all the requirements of projects with respect to BIM Coordination and distribution of information, Project and Asset Information Modelling management.

To ensure that all relevant Company Group & Sector Specific Procedures and Policies are met, inaccordance with the Integrated Business Management System incorporating the BIM Management processes and procedures.


Duties - Not Exhaustive
Review 3D Models from consultants and contractors
Audit and review models
Hold weekly coordination meetings with project team members
Early design review and constructability analysis
Manage / Update BIM Project Documents
3D Model Quantity Extraction / Verification
Creating and writing reports for dashboard & reporting purposes relating to project BIM KPI's.
Track and maintain all BIM Projects via a Project BIM record with all details regularly maintained.
Monitor & police the correct use of Aconex within the Project team.
Raise BIM related Client RFI's and report/schedule status for monthly progress meetings.
Raise and monitor BIM RFI's between design team and sub-contractors.
Responsible for clash detection, management, reporting, federating and meeting hosting/minuting.
Enable integration/coordination of information within the Project Information Model.
Maintain and receive information into the Project Information Model (PIM)
Responsible for the collation, quality assurance and consolidation of Asset Information Requirements.
Maintain and receive information into the Asset Information Model (AIM)
Provide technical compliance reports related to geometrical models ensuring task teams action accordingly.
Support and assist the Design Managers, CDE Coordinators on projects to ensure full collaboration to accommodate client requirements.


Requirements:

You will need to be highly organised, detail-oriented, hardworking and have the
ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must have BIM knowledge and interest in working with Construction Technology

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organisational levels.

Be fully conversant with the use of Aconex.
Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, NavisWorks & AutoCAD
Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures
Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook &
PowerPoint)
Experience with Primavera P6 preferred
Completed coursework in Construction, Architecture or an equivalent combination of
training and or work experience.
