    Description

    Newfield Automation Ltd is an independent Control System Integrator supplying industrial automation solutions across a diverse industry sector within the UK and Ireland.

    Role Description

    This is a full time role located at our offices in Astbury, Congleton for a Panel Wireman.

    Your main task will be to build, assemble, wire and test (basic point-to-point) our respective control panels using our in-house drawing packages, which would contain the following:

    • Title Sheet
    • General Arrangement Drawing(s)
    • Parts Lists
    • Electrical Wiring Schematics
    • Terminal Details
    • Working alongside our team of Engineers to ensure our panels are assembled to the highest standard and in compliance with industry regulations and standards. All of the works must also be undertaken in accordance with our ISO9001: 2015 Quality Management System. In addition to the main duties we would wish the following additional tasks to be undertaken:
    • Overseeing the receipt and storage of incoming items (goods receiving);
    • Administering a basic stock control system including any bonded stock items, making sure inventories are updated on a regular basis;
    • Ensuring that the correct stock levels of commonly used items are set and maintained (cabling, DIN rail and trunking etc.), that orders and reorders are made (or requested to be made) in good time, anticipating requirements by referencing the workshop plan;
    • Coordinating the efficient use of labelling systems;
    • Using workshop space effectively, ensuring that its respective working/testing areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
    • Overseeing the calibration of test equipment;
    • Qualifications
    • Experience in Panel Wiring and Control System Assembly
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
    • Experience with tools and equipment used in Panel Building
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
