MJ Fire Safety, an integral business within the wider Marlowe Fire and Security Group, are seeking to appoint an experienced
Fire Door Installer, with at least 3 years regulatory & standards expertise in BS476-22, BS8214, IFC, BM Trada, FIRAS or equivalent.

The installation of fire doors is as life critical as the product specification itself, therefore we are seeking someone who is specifically trained to install fire doors and carry out remedial works where necessary.

You will work closely with your designated Scheduler who will organise and schedule your appointments & workload in your assigned region.

Client sites are likely to include residential blocks, schools, and commercial premises plus flat entrance doors.

Who we are looking for

It is critical that the person we appoint has extensive understanding and practical experience in working to third party certifiable standards, as well as the practical skills and capabilities to install, replace and repair Fire door sets in a competentand professional manner.

You will have:

Extensive knowledge of schemes such as BM Trada, IFC, FIRAS or equivalent.
Expert understanding of BS47622 and BS821
Knowledge in terms of Timber Fire Doors and associated furniture.
Able to identify that the choice of frame/lining/casing and intumescent smoke seals are compatible.
An understanding of the regulations relating to the gap allowance between door and frame
