    REAL ESTATE LITIGATION PARALEGAL 12 MONTH CONTRACTTRAINING CONTRACT POTENTIALParalegal - Real Estate LitigationAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal with Real Estate Litigation experience who is looking to gain trainee level experience and run their own caseload.

    The TeamThe Real Estate team at this firm is highly regarded and highly ranked in Chambers and the Legal 500.

    The Real Estate Litigation team deals with a range of matters including development disputes, landlord and tenant issues, overdue rent and service charges, breaches of covenant and dilapidations.

    The team also cover construction disputes, property fraud and professional negligence.

    The RoleThe successful paralegal can look forward to a high level of responsibility managing their own caseload of smaller matters and having substantial client contact, as well assisting the Real Estate Litigation partner on larger and more complex matters.

    You can look forward to gaining experience on a range of litigious issues and experience of the whole litigation processes from instruction to settlement or trial.


    Duties will include:


    Drafting letters before action, particulars of claim, particulars of debt, statutory demands, witness statements, instructions to counsel and expertsIssuing County Court debt claimsPreparing disclosure and trial bundlesLegal research on a variety of landlord and tenant queries both commercial and residentialThe RequirementsThe firm are open to seeing applications from paralegals with a range of backgrounds and experience.

    However, academics are key and a minimum of a 2.1 is required as is completion of the LPC.

    In terms of experience you may have both commercial litigation and commercial property experience, but not necessarily Real Estate Litigation.

    Or you may be in a Real Estate or Commercial Property Litigation team seeking a new challenge.

    Any experience with landlord and tenant transactions – leases and licences (to assign, to underlet and for alterations) - would be an advantage.

    The current paralegal has been offered a training contract with the firm to start in September, there is a strong possibility this paralegal role will also lead to a training contract.

    It could also be a great opportunity for a future pupil or a future trainee looking to gain experience before starting pupillage/training contract.

    The role is initially a 12 month fixed term contract.
