    Swimming Teacher - Loughton, Essex

    Details about the role

    We have a fantastic new opening for a Swimming Teacher at Places Leisure. Join a dynamic and energizing environment where you will inspire others to excel. Your enthusiasm for teaching and swimming, combined with exceptional class programming and instructing skills, will engage our customers and showcase your extensive knowledge and expertise.

    Our swimmer development stages are aligned with the National Plan for Teaching Swimming. Therefore, our Swimming Teachers should ideally possess a UKCC Level 2 qualification. While holding a Lifesaving Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC) would be beneficial, we are open to supporting motivated individuals in obtaining these certifications through our continuous learning and development programs.

    There are various growth opportunities for you at Places Leisure, starting with the role of Swimming Teacher. This position can lead to diverse career paths such as Swimming Co-ordinator and Contract Swimming Development Manager.

    As a Swimming Teacher, you will receive ongoing training and development support, including assistance with NPLQ or NRASTC qualifications, enhancing your customer service skills, and more.

    Requirements

    • Dedication to helping individuals of all ages learn to swim or improve their swimming abilities.
    • Ability to work with customers in groups or one-on-one, motivating and guiding them during lessons.
    • Friendly, patient, and approachable demeanor to build trust and encourage students.
    • Passion for helping students reach their full potential by applying industry best practices and effective teaching techniques.
    • Proactiveness in seeking development opportunities and suggesting ideas for service enhancement.
