Communication and Team Working Work with the team to administrate and coordinate the activities required in implementing the Trusts Patient Safety and Quality Strategy.

Assist the team in the coordination of the implementation of action plans that are identified from internal and external reviews.

Assist the divisions and the team in the administrative duties required in the process of incident investigations.

Support the team with compliance of the Trust Duty of Candour process.

Maintain close working relationships with the clinical and managerial service leads to monitor progress and delivery including actions arising from the divisional Governance Steering Groups and incident investigations.

Appropriately escalate and communicate issues and developments within the team. Respond to telephone and individual enquiries.

Provide advice to staff on governance issues and appropriately direct individuals for further specialist support. Maintain an awareness of the work of colleagues within the team.

Planning and Organising Coordinate and link governance activities within the divisions and map these to organisational learning ensuring that appropriate actions are carried forward by escalating to managers appropriately.

Organise meetings or educational packages as appropriate/requested, ensuring appropriate resources are provided.

Plan and prioritise workload in accordance with key tasks to ensure reports are provided in a timely manner. Co-ordinate the notification to staff of Greatix nominations received.

Arrange for morning reports of red incidents to be provided to Patient Safety & Quality managers for morning huddle meeting.

Administration Extract data as required to the team for reporting to Board and Sub Board committees.

Maintain the Datix reporting system in relation to incident investigations and NRLS submissions.

Provide administrative support for the review of incidents and other quality related information Record outcomes of reviews and the lessons learnt.

Provide administrative support in the delivery of education and training days. Provide administrative support to the Divisional Clinical Governance Steering Groups.

Provide administrative support for compliance with the Trust Duty of Candour process. Maintain records relating to data required for Consultant appraisals. Extract data to produce reports of systematic analysis within divisions of incident and audit data.

To provide administrative support for clinical effectiveness strategies within the Trust, including NICE and other national recommendations for best practice.

Develop and maintain comprehensive operational procedures for duties within role.
