Office-based with some scope for home working
Our client provides a range of software solutions and IT services, the data involved relates to people who need the help of various types of support services.
As a result of this, the ideal person must understand the level of quality or work required to be able to help their clients make the most of their data and help identify and support some of the most vulnerable people in society.
What we need from you as a Data Consultant:The role requires a varied mix of technical skills and personal attributes.
As a minimum the ideal person would need to have the following:
- 3 years minimum of similar relevant experience and have used databases (oracle, SQL server or Postgres) and have some experience of SQL
- Data management, data analysis, data processing or data governance experience
- Possess the right calibre and attitude to be able to learn new things quickly
- Be well organised and have a methodical approach to tasks
- Good communication skills, able to liaise with clients
- Strong attention to detail
And either:
- IT project experience, of at least 1 full project cycle Or IT systems implementation experience in particular phases, such as configuration, testing or data migration
What the role involves:
You will be mainly office-based in Worcester, with scope for working from home, and there will be some work on client sites as part of a team during implementation projects
:Duties include:
- Work with clients to understand the scope of their data to be brought into our software solution
- Configure our software (training will be given) to be able to receive and process the client's data
- Help to match records within our solution, understanding the impacts that poor data quality can have on this
- Produce user documentation (User Guides) to match the configured solutions
- Support client testing and resolve test defects
- Work with company technical solutions to complete the cutover (the golive) of the configured solution
Salary/hours:
£30,000 - £45,000 pa depending on experience. Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm, with some flexibility when on site.
