- This role reports into the MD.
- Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, overseeing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Implement a robust financial infrastructure
- Manage financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to support decision-making and optimise financial performance.
- Lead the preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and annual financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team, to drive strategic initiatives, evaluate our business model, and manage risks effectively.
- Oversee cash management activities, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimising cash flow through effective cash forecasting and management of banking relationships.
- Manage tax planning and compliance, working closely with external advisors (where required) to optimise tax efficiency and ensure adherence to tax regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes relevant to independent companies and the technology sector, providing strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management.
- Lead the growth strategy from a finance perspective and advise on potential future M&A activities

- Qualified Accountant, ACA/ACCA/CIMA, with 3+ years experience in a FD or FC role
- Experience in cashflow management
- Willingness and enthusiasm to progress and succeed within the business.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail in every aspect of work undertaken ensuring accuracy of reporting and analysis.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and leadership skills
- Experience in a scale-up environment, especially the Technology Sector
- Experience advising business owners on exit strategies / succession planning
