Bailey Care Services - Temporary Care Worker - Newport area, Wales.

Location:
Residential and Nursing Home in the NP18 area.

Are you passionate and dedicated in providing care and support to other?

We are looking for warm and friendly individuals to join our ever-growing business, who will be able to meet the needs and requirements of service users.


As this role involves working with potentially vulnerable individuals, a minimum of 6 months paid care or support work experience is essential.

You will also need to be registered with Social Care Wales, please see the Social Care Wales website for details.

For this role you will need to be a UK resident, as we are unable to offer sponsorships.
We are currently recruiting Temporary Care Workers for our client in the Newport area (NP18).

This Home is on the rural outskirts of Caerleon in South Wales. The home has 34 residents with physical disabilities.

There is a hydrotherapy pool and art/music therapy facilities onsite to support the residents.

The home is surrounded by beautiful views of the countryside. The Breacon Beacons, Wye Valleys and South Wales coast are all nearby.


Due to the rural location of the Home it would be easier if you can drive and have access to a car.

However, there are local bus and train services available.


About the role
Personal Care may be required for some residents
Establish and maintain relationships of trust with residents, to build engagement
Help residents to set, prioritise and achieve personal goals, to increase motivation and ambition
Work flexibly with residents
Work with residents on a 1:1 basis and in groups
Assist residents to manage friendships and family relationships
Assist residents to manage medication, including supporting people by prompting and/or administering medication according to procedures
Assist residents to manage their lives by helping with bills, forms, mail and appointments, accompanying residents to appointments as and when necessary
Encourage positive choices around food, leisure etc.
Write clear word processed and handwritten reports (training provided) and records in English
Participate in mandatory and job-related courses and learning activities
Maintain professional boundaries in all aspects of work with residents
