Employability Worker | Part Time | Fixed Term
Based at Bedford with regular travel to Luton and mid Bedfordshire
Monday to Thursday 09:00 and 17:00 totaling 30 hours per week
£20,151 per annum, paid monthly | Fixed Term to March 2024
Amazing opportunity for an Employability Worker to join a charity based in Bedford supporting homeless people
The purpose of the role is to work as a member of the Outreach Project Team to provide support to individuals who reside at Amicus Trust accommodations.

Are you the right person for the job?
- Educated to GCSE (English/Maths) or equivalent
- Qualification in social/project work and/or in Education and Employment or working towards a relevant qualification
- Advice and Guidance Level 3 or working towards a relevant qualification
- Recruitment experience and/or Level 3 qualification
- AET level 3 or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Ability to write clear and concise reports and present them effectively
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise workloads and work to deadlines
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to motivate
- Ability to market and promote the project to a range of organisations
- A satisfactory Enhanced Vulnerable Adults DBS check is required (cost met by employer)
Your role as an Employability Worker:
- Interview residents to establish their educational needs
- Signpost/Support with accredited learning in literacy, numeracy and IT
- Signpost/Deliver work related support to achieve employability skills
- Use of a car is necessary due to visiting a number of properties across mid Bedfordshire
Job Types:

£20,151.00 per year

- Bedford, Bedfordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
Spinal Injury: 1 year (preferred)
Support Worker: 1 year (preferred)

- Driving Licence (required)
