Diversey are seeking someone with some technical experience or training in repairs to support our customers in the field. The purpose of the role is to do maintenance and repair of floorcare machines and equipment at customer sites. This includes floor scrubbing machines, industrial vacuums and ride-on driven floor scrubbers. Customers are typically supermarkets, office buildings, factories, hospitals, care homes schools universities etc. Your job is to visit 3-4 sites per day within the territory of East London.

We will provide full training on the products, so if you have some kind of background in electrical or mechanical repairs, this could be for you.

*PRIORITY MEDIUM TERM DELIVERABLES*- Provide efficient and economic maintenance and repair service to Diversey Customers

  • Continuously review performance within area of responsibility, ensuring service delivery timelines are met.
  • Ensure planned maintenance is carried out within customer agreed timescales. Alternative dates must be agreed with the Customer.
  • Ensure that vehicles, tool kits and spares stock are maintained in good working order and all electrical equipment calibrated and certified to ensure safety and suitability.
  • Manage spares stock at agreed working capital targets, reducing where possible without compromising service levels.
  • Promote maintenance contracts with customers and maintain Customer relationships.
  • Be aware of and pass on all sales leads to sales department.
*Must have skills:

  • Some kind of background in either mechanical or electrical repair, for example, an apprenticeship (for example as car or motorcycle mechanic etc.), or internally company trained technician (for example in whitegood or boiler repairs). Other colleagues come from kitchen and gardenequipment repairs, exmilitary mechanics, milling mechanics and many others.
  • Previous experience as Field Service Engineer/Technical customer service is beneficial, but someone who loves to be out and about would also be welcomed.
  • We are looking for a self sufficient individual who is happy to work on their own initiative.
