    Company Description DSC Nutrition Ltd is a white label & private label health supplement manufacturer undergoing significant growth.

    Located in Horndean, Hampshire in state of the art new facilities, DSC Nutrition manufactures tablets, capsules of various sizes, powder blends and provides a bottling service.

    We have a new position as a Food Safety and Quality Officer.

    This is an exciting new position within the company and as such, the successful applicant will be responsible for the setting up, implementing and ensuring compliance with all BRCGS food safety procedures, in addition to general Health and safety policies and procedures.

    You will be working closely with our BRCGS consultant and Health & Safety consultant who will support you in the setup of us these important aspects of the business.

    Food Safety &

    Quality Supervisor Duties:

    • Ensure effective food safety compliance (BRC) and work with plant management team to implement programs to mitigate risk and drive a positive Food Safety culture across the site.
    • Continue the development and implementation of BRCGS policies and procedures with the goal of achieving BRCGS accreditation by December 2024.
    • Manage and lead HACCP program, ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices, preventive controls and prerequistie programs are in place and effective.
    • Handling of any Food safety nonconfirming raw material or finished goods, ensuring correct escalation to management and that corrective actions are closed out, inclusive of the HACCP review.
    • Knowledge of Food safety System (BRC, IFS,) HACCP, GMP and hygiene standards.
    • Manage the plant Food Safety & Quality system.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and internal audits.
    • Oversee and implement the general Health & Safety policies and procedures on site.
    • Provide safety training to employees on various topics including hazard communication, emergency response, and personal protective equipment
    • Maintain accurate records of safetyrelated incidents, training, and inspections.
    • Writing & training of food safety procedures to meet necessary BRC/customer accreditation requirements.
    • Writing & training of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
    Quality experience and/or training.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills industry / sector specific knowledge and understanding of applicable Food Safety regulations.
    • Familiarity with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar science/engineering.
