    Description

    We're looking for people to serve on our Board of Trustees who want to use their professional skills and life experiences to benefit the life outcomes of the young people across our Trust.

    Ethos Academy Trust has its headquarters in Batley, West Yorkshire, and is made up five alternative provision academies in Kirklees and Wakefield and one special school in Rotherham, all of which provide support to young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

    As a Trustee you would provide strategic leadership, hold executive leaders to account for educational and staff performance and oversee the financial performance of the organisation. This includes approval and monitoring of budgets, stakeholder engagement, ensuring robust safeguarding of young people and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

    By giving a fraction of your time on a voluntary basis, you can help our Trust to steer the development of our schools, nurture inclusive learning communities and change lives. In return you would benefit from building relationships and networks in your community and gaining transferable skills.

    We are looking for Trustees who can work as a team, act as ambassadors of the Trust and its academies and have a desire to create positive change for young people. A commitment to the aims and objectives of Ethos Academy Trust and a willingness to participate in relevant training and devote time to the role is also required.

    Leadership and management skills with professional experience in education, accountancy, finance, business, HR, marketing or law are desirable but if you are passionate about giving back to your community and believe you have something valuable to offer, we'd love to hear from you.
