KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The post holder is at the forefront of customer service and is responsible for the provision of a full range of reception and administrative services.

The responsibilities of the post include dealing with customer and client enquiries and complaints, and to provide a support service in relation to administration duties for the department.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet and greet customers and members of the public.
  • Deal with the public/client enquiries, problems, difficulties or complaints and record as appropriate to ensure a high level of customer service provision.
  • Provide administrative support to the Facilities Management department to include word processing and updating of databases.
  • Process all incoming mail and deliveries ensuring it is allocated to the correct client.
  • Close the Bradford Court reception and ensure it is secure before leaving for the day.
  • Assist with the emergency evacuation procedures for Bradford Court.
  • Ensure the provision of high standards of customer care across all the services provided.
  • Ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures and operate within the highest standards, which reflect the core values and behaviours of the Council.

Requirements:


  • Five GCSE passes at Grade A-C or NVQ Level 2 in administration (or equivalent).
  • One year's experience in a customer service environment or receptionist post.
  • Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined, they must demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience.
  • A working knowledge of computer packages to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
