    AtlasEdge is a recently established Joint Venture, creating a leading European EDGE platform, with presence in more than 10 European countries, serving over more 700 customers, providing an unparalleled market access and leading capacity availability across its markets. AtlasEdge is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy, organically as well as through potential follow-on acquisitions. AtlasEdge will be 50%/50% owned by Liberty Global and Digital Colony, which will give AtlasEdge access to relevant industry expertise, liquidity and capital markets.

    JOB PURPOSE

    Establish the Operational Engineering function for AtlasEdge through a strong set of reliable outsourced engineering and project partners able to deliver across our pan-European base. Develop in-house capability as and when such functions can provide competitive value and advantage over the competition.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • ownership and accountability for all reinvestment CAPEX into AtlasEdge technical facilities. Working with Finance, Operations, Procurement and the CTO function, ensure the business successfully operates and executes against a fully validated capex reinvestment plan
    • with peers and the Management team, establish, document and own the re-investment principles based on a more nuanced understanding of equipment operating life, preferably moving AtlasEdge towards a condition-based maintenance and reinvestment program
    • alongside site manager in colo sites and operations managers in edge sites, ensure every site has an ongoing optimisation plan/strategy to ensure maximum value from every MW of deployed capacity
    • outsource engineering and project partners to successfully work alongside operations and other outsourced functions to execute on capex projects across all our live/operational sites with zero interruptions to service for our clients.
    • AtlasEdge engineering Due Diligence as required during M&A engagements. Development of both technical DD and investment CAPEX plans to support acquisition decisions
    • along side specialist subcontractors to develop and roll out BMS and EPMS upgrades

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    Key Experience

    Significant engineering experience gained in a large multi-national environment, with significant exposure to high growth pan-European, multi-site data centre environments.
