    Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as Assistant Chief Fire Officer specifically as Director of Operations, leading our dedicated Operations teams in protecting and serving the communities of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

    Role Overview:

    As Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our service delivery, ensuring the effective deployment of resources, and maintaining the highest standards of Prevention, Protection and Responding to Incidents. You will lead a dynamic team of firefighters, officers, and support staff, driving continuous improvement and innovation to meet the evolving needs of our communities.

    The area we serve is one of the most beautiful areas within the UK and we recognise that relocation can be challenging. We have a full relocation package which is negotiable for the right candidate. We do not require the candidate to live within Hampshire or Isle of Wight but expect the successful candidate to provide visible leadership across the Service.

    We offer a salary of c£139,000 with a provided vehicle allocated and access to an employer contributed pension scheme. Gold Book terms and conditions of employment. You will be expected to join the operational rota as a Level 4 strategic officer on continuous duty.
