The acquisition has secured our role as a critical supplier to the next generation of UK defence programmes.

As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.

Based at our 64 acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Maintenance Fitter.

The role involves carrying out planned and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy forge equipment and to attend to breakdowns as and when they occur.

Role Responsibilities

Maintenance of all plant and equipment including:
Open Die Hydraulic presses.
Hydraulic Forging Manipulators
Cranes and Hoists up to 340t SWL
Furnaces and associated equipment
Working to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems.
This role can involve working at height and confined spaces.

About You

Experience working in a similar Mechanical Engineering / Maintenance position.
A HNC qualification in Engineering is an advantage, but not essential for this this role.
Engineering knowledge rooted in strong maintenance principles and failure prevention.
Knowledge of Hydraulics / Pneumatics.
In depth knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace and improvements made in support of H&S.
Capable of influencing technical decisions based on facts and supported by data.
Excellent Fault-Finding Skills.

Days/Hours of Work
Continental shift patterns - An average of 40 hours per week
