    Job summary

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maternity Matron to join our team on an 18-month secondment.

    Are you looking for a development opportunity, we are looking for an experienced clinically sound senior midwife with a broad range of midwifery experience. The post holder will be provide dynamic collaborative leadership and direction across the areas within the maternity service.     The role of the matron is to provide performance and operational oversight, displaying role modelling behaviours and trust values. Work collaboratively within the multi disciplinary team, to contribute to the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Divisions strategic and operational plan concerning, staff competency, staff objectives and targets, and quality improvement

    The role will include line management of Band 7 Midwifery staff including ward mangers, team leaders, specialist midwives and shift co-coordinators, being a supportive and a visible leader.
