    About the role

    As the Senior Fundraising Officer - Corporate Partnerships, you will support Climate Group's Commercial Partnerships function to initiate, develop and grow Climate Group's most significant corporate partnerships. The role will include partner research, pipeline management, and support on processes around finance, budgeting and contracting.

    You will play an instrumental role within a live project to build out our newest campaign within our Energy System with one of the world's largest and most innovative tech companies.

    This is a high-profile new initiative within Climate Group, and your role will lead on early-stage engagement with progressive corporate partners, with a view to onboarding them into this campaign. You will lead on prospect research, initiate outreach, develop materials to promote the campaign, and lead on initial discussions to introduce the campaign to new potential partners. This campaign will support multinational businesses to adapt how they purchase energy, supported by our internationally renowned .

    This is an exciting opportunity to join part of a new Commercial Partnerships and Innovation unit within Climate Group, offering scope to shape your own climate career path. You will collaborate closely with Climate Group's Development and Sponsorship teams, gaining experience of how all aspects of Fundraising works within our organisation.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Research & Intelligence

  • Prospect research at both a company and individual level, with findings feeding into shaping propositions and outreach strategies for various teams across CG.
  • Lead on initial outreach to new potential partners, tracking and sharing intelligence gathered using our CRM, and using this to suggest practical next steps to progress C-Suite level relationship development.
  • Support the development of targeted client value propositions, including preparation for client meetings.
  • Work closely with our Global Research, Innovation and Impact Team (GRIIT) to explore key topics and themes of interest that could form the basis for future Climate Group programmatic work.
  • Partnership Strategy

  • Support the continued development of systems and processes to manage major corporate partnerships and opportunities, including Salesforce opportunity management, contact and database management and preparation for senior-level prospect meetings.
  • Support on setting and tracking KPIs and targets as this function grows.
  • Support on the planning for new partnership growth areas for Climate Group, e.g. new major programme and campaign planning, connected to global impact goals and resource plan.
  • Income & Impact

  • Lead the management of CG's Commercial Partnerships pipeline through Salesforce.
  • Contribute to Climate Group's Impact Catalogue database on Salesforce.
  • Build connections with senior stakeholders within Climate Group and partner organisations, building your own personal network of Climate leaders.
  • Develop engaging materials to use for initial company outreach in the form of written communications, PowerPoint presentations, etc.

    Essential

  • Proven experience in a Client Partnership or Client Account / Account Management role, ideally within a corporate environment.
  • Experience managing pipelines and prospect databases, familiarity with Salesforce / CRM systems.
  • Strong and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Research skills, and ability to distil information into key points and headlines.
  • Curious with a learner mindset.
  • Highly organised, with attention to detail and ability to multi-task in order to meet strict timelines
  • Proactive and able to work independently to deliver tasks and achieve team and individual objectives.
  • Excellent team-building skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders of all levels, internally and externally.
  • Desirable

  • Experience of income-generation either within an NGO focused on Corporate fundraising, or directly within a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of Climate, Sustainability and / or ESG practices within business.

    You'll be based in our London head office near Tower Bridge (SE1 2NQ) and will enjoy the benefits of flexible and hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

    This is a permanent position. The salary offered is £33, to £36, per annum, based on experience.
